Stephen W. Bucher is a licensed attorney in California and New York. He is a member of the Trusts and Estates sections of the State Bar
of California and Santa Clara County Bar Association. Mr. Bucher occasionally speaks on estate planning topics upon invitation to large and small groups, including corporate human resource events. He also has been a guest speaker on local radio programming.
Mr. Bucher began his legal career in the Financial Fraud Unit of the Oregon Department of Justice assisting in the prosecution of consumer fraud, antitrust
violations, and government contract disputes. In 1994-95, Mr. Bucher was a Foreign Lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of West
Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
Prior to opening his current law firm, Mr. Bucher was a senior associate attorney at the Palo Alto, California headquarters of Wilson
Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Mr. Bucher's practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati focused on business litigation cases, primarily
representing officers and directors in internal corporate matters and shareholder disputes.
Mr. Bucher subsequently established his own boutique firm exclusively devoted to estate and business planning. Mr. Bucher believes that
small boutique law firms can and do provide the same or better quality legal services to most clients in most instances.
